SNOW ALERT 1/28/2022:
Our first round of snow today is over leaving us with a 1/2 inch of powdery snowfall. Our lots have cleared and the temperature rose for much of the day, preventing icing.
Our snow removal team will be working throughout the night and the day tomorrow making sure our paths are accessible.
As today’s small total would have been considered an event, separate from tonight/tomorrow’s storm, we were advised by the specialist to focus on the main storm event.
Please be safe in your travels and if you see any hazardous areas, please notify me immediately at admin@chestnuthillcobblestones.com. I will be monitoring my emails until the snow removal team is on-site.

Two emails were sent out by Philly Living Management this week…
The first email was a notice about the HOA dues coupon book program termination. Although the Board was not consulted on this decision, we do support a move to go paperless and save money.
The second email was sent to The Cobblestones HOA Members in error. This does maintenance plan or fees does not apply to our community. It was meant for apartment building owners and executive boards of HOA buildings that Philly Living manages. There is no extra fee due.

ANNOUNCEMENT:
The Cobblestones At Chestnut Hill has joined the portfolio of Sharp’s Landscaping. Sharp’s is responsible for the beautiful grounds of our neighbors, Blossom Row and The Chestnut Hill Village.
This contract reduces our landscape spending while increasing our services. Sharp’s will also manage our snow removal on a per-inch-scale, giving us the opportunity to build a snow surplus in more mild winters.

ALERT: Deep Freeze Forecast: Avoid Frozen Pipes

Local forecasts calling for temperatures in the teens could mean frozen pipes and burst plumbing, but you can take steps to prevent this!
Because pipes in your home and on your property—up to the water main in the street—are not part of the City’s infrastructure, we can’t thaw them or make repairs. Residential pipes are at risk of freezing during extreme cold and when temperatures are below freezing for several days.
The good news: You can protect your pipes and water meter from cold weather damage by doing a few simple things. These steps are very affordable or free—and could save you big time:
Do this to avoid frozen pipes
If you do lose water, check with a neighbor to see if they’re experiencing the same issue. If they also don’t have water, it may be a water main break impacting your area.
But if they do have running water, it’s likely your pipes have frozen. Here’s what to do:
