JULY / AUGUST 2023
SAFETY ALERT
Dear Neighbors,
I regret to inform you, on Thursday night, a vandal, possibly more than one, hit the Cobblestones again.
This time they attempted to smash a window and door on another G row unit both sides around 9:30pm and successfully smashed and E row unit’s storm door window on the parking lot side around 10:30pm.
It’s possible there was a getaway car waiting in the Mermaid lot, parked near E8 parking spot that left the lot shortly after. Bell cam video shows the impact and one of the vandals running from G row near Crittenden, down the path, past D row towards the Mermaid lot.
Please check your cams: If you have any useful footage, please email the link, video, or screenshot to admin@chestnuthillcobblestones.com
It is imperative that police reports get filed by anyone who is the victim of these acts IMMEDIATELY and before it accelerates to a successful home break-in.
Reporting these incidents help police plan their patrol routes. If they’re not notified, it’s assumed we’re all good over here in our little pocket of Chestnut Hill. Last, I would ask that you refrain from posting any details on social media, especially Nextdoor App. There are more of these types of posts lately and that could actually be the ridiculous goal to this dangerous new trend. We shouldn’t feed into it if it turns out to be some kind of tiktok challenge.
On Wednesday August 1st at approximately 5AM a unit in the middle of G-row had its storm door kicked in and broken.
The police were called and a report was filed.
Thank you for your time in this matter and be safe, Natasha (D4)
